The beautiful city of Belo Horizonte is one of the largest in Brazil, with approximately 2.5 million inhabitants. Surrounded by the mountains of Serra do Curral, the city exhibits charming landscapes, while also featuring several cultural attractions and a vibrant nightlife. Organized excursions for some of these attractions will be offered for conference participants.
UFMG is one of the largest and most important universities in Brazil. With almost 50,000 students at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and an academic staff of around 7,000 professionals involved in a large number of different fields, it currently stands as one of the top ten universities in Latin America according to the QS World University Rankings.
